Known as the Heart of Folsom, the Historic District came into being in the 1850’s where gold prospectors, settlers and the Pony Express rode through the center of town. Rich in history, Folsom provided the first electrical power to the State Capitol.
Today the Historic District hosts more than 80 shops and restaurants and is home to many events. Folsom still has a small town feel, and was ranked as the #2 place to raise a family by Nerdwallet. Many people come to Folsom because of the schools, which are among the top in the region as ranked by API test scores.
